Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. Her stage career began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s, she appeared as a stage artist in several Broadway plays before breaking through into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner' in 1957. The singer also released her debut album of music, It's Time For Tina that same year. Louise started her Hollywood career in the year 1958 in which she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a film that was dramatic. It was an enormous hit and Louise received her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. In the years prior to this she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Another notable character she played in the role of Ginger Grant, which CBS signed her up with in 1964. Louise Balfour continued to successfully juggle between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber character as against her famous image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she also has made an impact as a successful director in various well-known television shows like Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 29th August in 1965. The family moved to Toronto when she was three. Her childhood was spent there as well as her adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and she has settled down there ever since.
