Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is a well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award-winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina started her career as a writer at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and policy documents. Although she found her job interesting initially, she eventually lost her interest in it and decided to purchase a smaller specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. After selling the store, she spent 18 years building it into an extremely successful business. Many magazines and cookbooks followed. Her Food Network TV show also debuted with great hit. Her range of items spans from appliances for kitchens to ingredient as well as storage containers. Ina is an aspiring cook who has not attended a cooking school, nor worked in a kitchen. Her easy-going approach to entertaining as well as her simple culinary style is widely known. Her most well-known recipes are Skillet with Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and Cheese, Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese with Beatty's Chocolate Cake and Lemon Bars.
